AN OREGON TRADITION

The sport of track and field traces its roots back to the original Olympic Games in Greece. Track and field is more than just an Olympic sport. USATF Oregon Association hosts a variety of track and field competitions each year here in Oregon for all levels of athletes: youth, open, and masters. In addition, USATF Oregon sanctions numerous track and field meets for all levels of competitors. The sanctions include low cost liability insurance and accident insurance for athletes.

USATF Oregon is involved in providing track and field coach’s education. Questions about coach’s education opportunities can be sent to Matt Lydum or Tom Millbrooke, Co-Chairs of USATF Oregon Coaches Education.
 
The Oregon Association offers training and support for track and field officials. USATF Oregon Certification Chair Scott Phoenix oversees the officials program.
