Cross Country

Cross country running is a sport in which teams and individuals run races on outdoor courses over natural terrain. Cross country runners are referred to as harriers. Men, women, boys, and girls of all ages compete in cross country, which, in the United States, usually takes place during fall. Cross country running is one of the disciplines under the umbrella sport of "Athletics."
 
USATF Oregon hosts a Junior Olympic Cross Country Championship event each year for youth ages six to 18. Contact USATF Oregon Youth Chair

USATF Oregon sanctions numerous track and field and cross country meets for all levels of competitors. The sanctions include low cost liability insurance and accident insurance for athletes. USATF Oregon Sanctions Chair
