Oregon Association Elections
2021 Election Notice
USATF Oregon Membership:
In accordance with current Oregon Association Bylaws, members of USATF Oregon Association will vote on the following positions during the Association General Meeting:
(incumbent; Scott Jones): Shall perform such duties as shall be assigned by the President. In the event of disability of the President, the 1st Vice-President shall also perform the duties of that office until a successor has been elected.
(Vacant): Shall serve as the chair of the Budget and Audit Committee and perform such duties as shall be assigned by the President.
(incumbent; Lynn Brown) shall:
Keep all minutes of meetings of this Association and of the Board of Directors and supply a copy promptly thereafter to all member organizations officers, committee members and others present at the meeting;
Distribute written notification of this Association’s meetings to all member organizations, USATF-Oregon Board of Director members and committee members as specified in Article VIII A, B, C, and D of the USATF Oregon Bylaws:
Serve as a member of the Budget and Audit Committee.
(incumbent; Pete Castro) shall:
Keep or cause to be kept a count and complete record of account, showing accurately at all times the financial condition of this Association, and in general, shall perform all duties normally pertaining to the office of Treasurer;
Shall report at all Board meetings the financial condition and balances of all bank accounts, and;
Shall serve on the Budget and Audit Committee.
Individuals interested in running for one of the above mentioned positions may self-nominate, or nominations may come from a third party. All nominees must submit a 200-500 word written explanation of their qualifications and interests in the role, to be posted on the Association website so it can be accessed by our membership no later than September 1. All nominees must be current Association members in good standing and be present at the Association Annual General Meeting. Nominations may also be made on the floor at the General Meeting.
Expectations of officers are: 1) to regularly attend association and executive board meeting, 2) to contribute to the greater welfare of the Association, 3) to assist in officiating and/or organization of Association championship events.
To be eligible to vote, individuals must have a valid USATF Oregon membership at least 60 days prior to voting. Members may vote by postal mail or by attending the General Meeting in person or virtually.
